A great movie to do a reaction although the plotline is very different would be "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere and a young Edward Norton. This movie has an incredible storyline, excellent acting, and a interesting ending.

Another would be "The Ghost and the Darkness" with Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer

I went thru a disturbing movie phase like 8-9 years ago..i've seen most banned movies from all over the world except for the ones that have real animal cruelty in it... A SERBIAN FILM (which i needed a xanax first to watch) and MARTYRS were immensely sick... cuz alot of that really goes on in this wonderful world of ours..i haven't seen this movie but someone discussed it on YT and said don't watch it lol

Angels to some, demons to others" oh the chair u laughed at was exactly how the STAR WARS ride was at disneyland ! the seatraised 3-4 feet and was attached to a long metal pole horizontal and there was a big screen in front 3D with the 3D glasses and it'd move side to side and it had the sensation that u were "floating" to make it as real as possible...

DAM that sound score is creepy.... i saw a movie in theaters called SINISTER.. honestly Sinister has the creepiest soundtrack of all time. I even tried playing it to A PAGE OF MADNESS its a silent film from the 20s and its suppose to be like what insanity feels like lol not sure what i was thinking cuz there are 2 tracks i just CANNOT listen to on that soundtrack theres like chanting and very inhuman noises and to boot its very doom and gloom... its very uncomfortable to hear but i give props to whoever created that hellish Score. its like nothing i've ever heard in my LIFE.

in a way this makes me think of UNCLE BUCK... just this entrance of an eccentric fck up type character that actually makes a difference...that one is a childhood fav....uncle buck is soooo funny

SCANNERS and VIDEODROME are the same director as THE FLY...in fact i think i'll re-watch videodrome tonight... my friend showed that one to me, and scanners another friend of mine..scanners has a famous scene that really freaked out audiences including my friend who was a kid when he saw it haha both carpenter and cronenberg were into sci f-/horrors....i feel like videodrome metaphorically and in a way literally predicted the future

i was up late a few months ago and found old YT videos where they had the clips of this film all out of context on purpose...it was the funniest thing i'd seen...given the paranoid inducing scenes when they are re-cut they are alot of fun to work with...

i often confuse john carpenter with david cronenberg..they both had pretty cool special effects

fun fact the baboon part was originally WAY WORSE... like 50 times worse, so they re-shot it...i regret watching the original one.

my fav part is the arm wrestling scene...i love his quick head movements, veryy insect-like..and only a good actor like goldblum could pull that off without looking ridiculous

jeff goldblum was nearly crying watching a clip in an interview....it was the part when he says I AM AN INSECT THAT DREAMT HE WAS A MAN AND LOVED IT, AND NOW THE DREAM IS OVER AND THE INSECT IS AWAKE...i love the film however its very depressing..the fly 2 i wouldn't recommend, had some seriously fcked up shit in that, despite eric stoltz being awesome as usual

It amazes me how the film that has spawn countless films of similar premise, trying to capture a bit of the brilliance of this masterpiece has not been seen by younger generations until adulthood, realizing when this was made and what has come after must give you a better perspective on this genre of film. It always seem to me to be the first serious piece of information released to mankind for what might be revealed to us in the future!
